I am not sure why the display always reverts back to the map when I use the menu button to go to a different screen (like audio or climate). I want the screen to stay on audio but it always goes back. Does this happen to everyone's car and has any one figured out how to prevent this.

well im not sure if lexus has updated their maps but my dads 2010 GX 460 does the same thing, i think its just how it is if you have a gps to make sure you know where your going or something

it does it by default. Some else posted the same "issue"... If i recall correctly, there is nothing u can do about it. it's just the car's default settings.

If you want the default screen to be the radio then have that screen optimized when you shut off the car. When you start her back up it will be on the radio screen, but if any other screen is not optimized then the default will always be the Nav screen. Sorry I called Lexus Tech support and was told there was no way around it.

If they made things like that adjustable it would go a long way in improving user experience.

I find the track pad a little difficult to use. I like the rotating knob in the mercedes a lot more. I thought the clock looks a little to traditional for such an aggressive car. Otherwise I love the car. Just not used to so many people staring when you are standing still!

In my car I have the Home screen configured to show the Radio, Compass and MPG. If I shut off the car with those three screens showing then the default screen will be the Nav screen. If, however, I select the Radio screen, which is outlined in Red, with the remote touch pad, and select that screen to be optimized or full screen then when I restart the car the default screen will be the radio.

What a strange thing to do in order to set it up the way you want. You should just be able to choose what the default screen is in the settings menu.

I agree 100%, but we can't and it's not even an option. Even the dealer side of the customization doesn't have anything.
