Hi,

I'm a bit confused...Still with the vids I have difficulty evaluating if a RAM (Takeda) or a CAI is worth it for getting more sound. Also, removing the stock intake removes the added sound "amplificator" added by lexus which, I guess, would reduce the overall sound of the intake. I have a 2015 with a stock exhaust. Thanks

The Takeda is the CAI. My car didn't come with the sound enhancer you describe, but putting in the Takeda CAI will generate much more sound than the Lexus sound amplification ever can. You heard my video, and that is with the stock exhaust.

That`s the mechanical sound "generator" I'm taking about: youtu.be/5kz9DWz2BuU. I think i'ts standard on all f-sport models. Not the ASC (speaker sound) which is available on 2016 and up. Thanks!
The sound generator was an option on the 2015, and mine didn't come with it, and it's a factory F-Sport. It was part of an option package, but mine didn't the option package that included it. The CAI will still produce more throttle noise than the mechanical sound generator ever could and will give you better throttle response.

I recently installed a takeda catback system on my rc350. Sounds amazing, very deep and she screams when you get on it. The installation takes a little less than an hour, bolt size 18. Whoever’s looking for a deep sound on their rc I’d definitely recommend.

Can't wait to buy/install this on my RC. I have an axleback exhaust and it just makes the car SO much more fun to drive now. Before that, I didn't enjoy driving it a whole lot bc it was so quiet. I'm hoping with the addition of the Takeda CAI and pedal commander, this will completely transform my driving experience. No, I am not talking about performance/power. Just fun driving dynamics.

Haha, I'm looking forward to what you say.

You won't have to swap it out for stock as it will not void the warranty. If they tell you it does they are violating the Federal Moss-Ferguson Act. The act prohibits dealers from telling you that you can't put in parts that are not OEM, and if you do it violates your warranty.

Now, if you add a cam or turbo/super-charger or install a Tune than Yes, it would violate the warranty.
My God, that's what happened.

OK guys. Both diffuser and intake installed today. Intake instructions were garbage but i figured it out and installed in under 40 mins. It was pretty straight forward. Intake sounded AMAZING when you really step on it and get it under load! Very deep and aggressive. R.I.P gas mileage! 😆😩

IMPORTANT NOTE; they didn’t supply Me with any reinforced clamp and my oem was NOT going to hold… i used a small clamp with a bolt fixed on it… it held really good for the first 2-3 hours then i got the CEL (trac off) light. Checked under the hood and they tubing fell off. I tightened it back and fell off again after 20 mins… so i just tightened the living fuck out of and we’ll see what happens when i go back out tonight.

Any ideas on how to tighten this down? I’m thinking of sanding/shaving the metal tube to give the silicone some “teeth” to grip to. Otherwise i have no other ideas. See pictures. (Diffuser pics to come later)

FIXED the problem. Went to O’Reilly and bought a new longer crank hose tube that was already pre-bent at 90 degrees (they had stored in the back of the store) and cut it down to size using a cutting tool I bought from Lowe’s. I cut a little bit from both sides and installed. Works like a charm. NO more check engine light.
