You made the right choice! So many issues with German cars and very expensive to repair. My 2014 ML 350 has so many issues and is in the service department often! Love my Lexus and I will be Lexus loyal!

Good color combination, and welcome to the Lexus Club. I left BMW a few years ago as it would break down more than my 50 year old Mustang would. LOL

The intake is already out at aFE Power. I put on the XPEL Ultimate paint protection film and love it. I did the Black intake tube.

Sucks to hear that.
The brave souls are those that keep german cars beyond the original warranty term, something i always believed in doing.

I think that if the German car never gave you any issues, and you did all the services then holding on to it after the warranty would be OK. I did all the services, but it kept breaking down all the time. I went through 4 radiators, thank God under warranty before one finally fixed the issue.

I liked my BMW, but the last straw was when I just had $1,300 in repairs that I couldn't do myself at the time due to surgery, and then the very next day the driver's window falls out of the track. Luckily the repair place was able to just bend the arms in for $125 as replacing the motor would have been $400.

I'm of the same belief too, usually it's how you take care of a car and drive it that determines a lot of how it will do in the long run, buying it second hand you just never know.

But of course the safe way out by default is end of warranty.... get rid of it.

Before I bought the Lexus I was thinking about a MB. I asked a couple of friends who owned one and they all had the same thing to say. It was the best car for 4 years, when it was in warranty, but the worst car after that. Glad I bought my Lexus instead. :D

I actually rode mine to 90k before I started to notice problems. If not for the crazy price tag of the 435 built similar to the Fsport I bought, I would have probably ended up with the same Space Gray 435, similar to the 335 Coupe and the 325 that I had before. After a week of owning it and tinting my windows, I am so glad I made the switch. It actually feels like a completely different driving experience.
I actually had an M5 try to race me today, which I never had happen in my 335.
