Traded the RC

Traded the RC on 9/14/2016. We went and looked at the new 2017 Infiniti Q60. The wife LOVED it! I was 50/50. I like some of the features on the RC better and some on the Q60 better. The twin turbo 3.0 V6 with 295 foot pounds of torque is AMAZING! Biggest upgrade for me is the dual touch screens in the Q60 (the nav and the infotainment screens are separate). I never did really like the mousepad in the RC (too cumbersome if you ask me). The interior has more of a wrap-around feel and the seats are far more comfortable. The exterior lighting is ALL LED (turn signal and reverse lights included). Another perk is for the same price as my RC, you get a 13-speaker, Bose sound system which blows the Lexus base sound system away. You can't go wrong with either one but so far so good with the Q60 (no regrets). The Q60 is silver (yes, I liked the Lexus Atomic Silver better) and the interior is graphite with silver stitching.

Feel free to ask any questions. And, best of luck to you all with your RCs.

Will you still stay around the forums ?!

Of course! I'm a lover of all makes and models. Cars are works of art to me. I'm not one who's loyal to a particular brand or anything like that. It's all about the wow factor when you look at it. Then you check-out the features, equipment, and drivability.

Still love the RC. I was up in the air about trading it but the wife absolutely loves the Q60. So, since I liked them both, I agreed to deal and told her that if the numbers worked-out, we'd get it. I'm happy with either one (they're definitely apples to apples) and it's like they say... happy wife, happy life!

The Q60 definitely does look beautiful ! In any colour really, I seen them in the Red and it really enticed me!

Gonna love to hear your impressions
IMO the best color for the Q60 will be white, cars with a design as round and curved as it it, always look good in white. Also... you know what they say about a car that looks good in white?
I've been driving the Q60 for 15 days now. Absolutely love it... inside and out! The power is impressive, the ride is very comfortable (especially the seats as compared to the RC), the technology package is comparable to the RC with the exception that I love the touch screens in the Q60, and we went for a long drive this past weekend (200 miles round trip) and the Q60 averaged 30 MPG. My overall average is around 20 MPG with the work commute (mostly city stop and go).

No complaints thus far. I thought I'd miss the RC a little but honestly I don't. You can't go wrong with either one but I'm very happy that I made the switch (credit to the wife).
Glad to hear all is well and you are both enjoying it. Can't go wrong with 30MPG either.

If you had a chance to drive the G37 (which was called the Q60 for it's last 2 years) if you can provide feedback it vs. the new Q60, that will be great. It helps to know where we've come from and see how good it really is. Still even possible the last generation could have been better in some ways.

I'm sorry but I've never driven the G37.

Yeah me neither.

Do you plan on test driving anything else in this segment although you made a purchase already? I know some people that really like to delve into what's offered to get a solid understanding of the playing field all of these are in.
I find fun it doing that actually, and it can't really hurt. Whenever I had time off before, I used to like going around and test driving cars.
Yes, I do this too. Usually only during the Summer. If it's a beautiful Saturday and we have nothing going-on, we'll go look and drive. That's how I ended-up with the Q60... went to look at it, drove it, and the rest is history.
Not surprised you switched to the new Q60, that thing does look nice but it's way out of my budget range especially the red 400.
The red-sport is really nice but expensive indeed. Trying to remember the last vehicle I test drove come to think of it now lol
I am glad you liked it so much! I was in the market last month and wanted to trade my V6 Honda Accord Coupe. I test drove the Q60, BMW 4-Series, and RC 350 F Sport. I wanted to love the Q60, it looks amazing, but when i punched it I didn't feel "inspired". Took the RC 350 out and I guess it just fit better. Get stupid lucky a guy at work was relocating and picked up my 2015 RC 350 with 1700 miles on it for 40K. I think that was another reason I passed on Q60, the way I had it equipped was well over 50K.
