Is there any special trick to get the seat belt strap to stay put once you put the belt on? I have tried using it but the magnet seems very weak and it keeps popping loose.

No, it's pretty easy. I'm a big guy and it hasn't popped off yet. What I've done is make sure the belt is not twisted while it's in the loop. Try it w/o out actually being in the seat. Bring the seat belt across the seat and latch it. Make sure the belt itself is flush with the seat by the loop. If the belt is twisted and not flush while in the loop it will pop off, and gets worse when you are in the seat. Hope that helped.

Also, make sure the nub on the one side is well seated in the receptacle on the bottom side. I was having the same issue when I first bought my RC.

Totally agree with Tony as the nub has to be seated correctly otherwise it will not hold. Sorry I forgot about that.
