It's why you will always see the first generation Lexus LS400 on the road, it's body will go way before the engine and the rest of any functional part like that goes for good. But even the bodies on their cars are good.

A Lexus costs 16% less!? I could see how that would make people happy. I bet people who buy Lexuses are also less concerned with image and status. I think focusing too much on the things you own makes you unhappy.

Toyota has establish a solid reputation because of this. The engines some of them have lasted more than 2 decades.

I think that Toyota and Lexus' quality are a huge part of the brand. People really trust the company, especially compared to the rest of the options out there that seem to break down or be recalled more often than they work properly. I think they could focus on that in advertising and they would see some great results.

The biggest thing that was negative for Toyota was the Prius for spontaneous acceleration which made a bit of an impact for them that year. Beside that yes I would say they have the least recalls from what I can remember when comparing to the rest.

Yeah as far as recalls go, they're probably one of the best.
Overall they're one of the top brands, on paper at times they are at the top, the best.

And I think that the low number of recalls is because there is actually less problems with the cars, not because the company has been covering up issues with its vehicles for years, like some other companies have been doing. *cough, GM, cough*

Maybe BMW owners are less happy because they have a harder time with maintenance and ordering parts.

LEts just say this, imports are spared from the crazy recalls that come in numbers. Just the past couple of months GM as always had a huge number of recalls. Its almost like a regular ocurence now.

Yeah they have been good with avoiding anything major, just hope that they keep it up and don't slack off and turn out a bad product.

SO going back to the main topic if you were around the age of retirement and money is not a problem, then what would be the the car of choice from Lexus? or maybe other brands as well open for discussion.
