Asked my diagnostics specialist here to just unbolt my rear section exhaust so removed both mufflers (they look like boats off the car they are so large) so straight piped through the resonators (they look like bazookas)... SURPRISINGLY it sounds ok.... obviously there is some noise in the cabin because it is basically dumped under the rear seats.

This is just a temporary thing so please don't start posting about messing with the back pressure and shift points lol I am very aware of all of this.

Only thing i semi dislike is cosmetically there are no more tips off the rear section. Thinking of just buying two mufflers and having the piping custom made instead of waiting for something just because I am impatient....

My question to you all is if i should do the quad tips like on the RCF or just go for the single (on both sides) with a larger tip? I am leaning towards the quad tips because i feel it looks better.

Looks great, but i imagine that it is quite noisy with no mufflers. May not be that bad inside the are, but the poor pedestrians you pass by on the street will have to stop their conversations while you drive by.
It really isnt that loud! You would be surprised, under load it is loud but just driving normally its not crazy loud... If i cut off the resonators, then it might get rowdy lol

I would consider it but if i chose to do that, i would run pipes further back because right now there is a lot of drone and some vibration inside due to the open piping right under the back seats! if you read the first post on the thread it will explain somewhat of what my plans are for the exhaust.

Well seeing as the mufflers were lets just say $300 for round numbers.... and i'm just cut and re welding (so using stock piping) I cant see the work being over $150....

Possibly around $450-500

Now if it isnt loud enough I will take it back and have them cut the two resonators out and re weld piping in its place... but for now we will see how it sounds with just mufflers added. Should be done by end of next week and ill post videos/pics to get opinions!

One question though. Who thinks i should do the tips at an angle like the actual RCF or should i just have them level ? I am debating.

I think if you try to do it how it's done on the RC-F, it might look like you're trying too hard to make it look like something it's not.

Plus it will be nice to see an aftermarket exhaust that sits level on an RC.
