Just replaced my front and rear pads on my rc350 fsport with EBC red stuff pads. Its rear wheel drive. Always heard good things about EBC pads but these things are horrible. I have never heard brakes squeal like this. I am embarresed to use the brakes. People just stare. Has anyone else used these and had this problem. I will never buy EBC products again.

The old shim P/N is 04945-30370. The new updated shim kit is P/N 04945-30360.
Plus, there are several products available to apply to pads to stop noise. As far as
EBC pads being defective, I doubt that. I've used EBC stuff for a bunch of applications
with no issues. They make some of the best brake products out there.

Thanks but the instructions said not to add shims.

Some pad require them, some don't. But, anti squeal, pretty much recommended by all.

Yes I used anti squeal and it didn't help. Lots of people have trouble with them squealing. You can googlr EBC brake squeal. They say it will go away in about a thousand miles. I will never buy their products again. Thats a long time to put up with that embarrassing squeal. I had a set before on an IS250 and they didn't squeal. If after 1k miles they say they will send shims if the squeal doesn't stop.

What about the rotors, did you replace them at the same time as the pads? Have them surfaced instead? How many miles did you have on the old pads. Were the old pads OEM Lexus?

How many miles on the clock? Rotors are set to replace after some mileage.
