One of Lexus' worst kept secrets over the last year has finally come to fruition, the RC is now available with a 2.0L Turbo 4 cylinder.
Following in the footsteps of the NX and the IS, the RC will wear the 200t badge on its flank. The 2.0T is mated to the same 8 speed auto-box as its kin, making 241 hp and 258 ft-lbs of torque. It'll do the dash to 62 (mph) in 7.5 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 143 mph.
The RC200t will also spawn its own F-Sport version, featuring adaptive suspension and a Torsen LSD.
While the 200t won't set the circuit on fire it does giveLlexus a viable entry level engine option to compete better with the 428's and A5's of the world.
One thing that might be more convincing for people to see is a chart showing how power is distributed throughout the RPM range with ultimately good power in the lower end.
same engine as in the NX, havent seen a dyno sheet for it, looked.. I dont think NX people are into performance mods really LOL, nor do the mags think its relevant content for buyers... its a twin scroll though which is nice at the bottom...
