Check it out, just under your selecta mode round about there will be a Snow Mode button that you can actually press! ;)

Having a button to press means little. I've had that "Snow Mode" button on my SC400 and my SC430, as as far as I can tell, it isn't even connected to anything.

Yup, I also had an sc400 and it had this exact same feature. Those cars were good enough that even with traction control on and some decent winter tires you were still able to get through some tough situations
Well what were you guys expecting snow mode to do? Morph your RC into an RX for happy motoring?

It just retards the throttle and tweaks traction control settings to help you out a touch. With a set of winter tires and the AWD model you should be ok ;)

no one was expecting anything from it, we all know what it's like as you can see from our statement, which is not much.

plus its fun to let loose in the snow, something I did in my sc, just with it had LSD
It almost seems like when people press the crossing button at a crosswalk, or the elevator close door button. The button is more there to just give the presser piece of mind instead of actually being connected to something.

Alright maybe some traction control, ABS, or something, but it sounds like it doesn't do much.
that makes no sense Lex because those buttons are functional.

Soarer, you expected something when you pressed it did you not?

For the smart alecks and debbie doubters, Snow mode starts you out in second gear to reduce wheel spin and it retards throttle response. Which is what ALL snow modes do ON EVERYTHING.
I think the point here is that the use of the word "snow" on the button is misleading. It would surely be less expensive and more helpful for Lexus to just throw a blanket into the trunk instead. There's my "snow mode."
Might as well throw in gravel, rain and dirt
I don't see how a SNOW Mode button is misleading or does nothing. CLEARLY it does SOMETHING.

Its about expectations more than anything. No snow mode is going to make it feel like driving in the dry because then you would be driving in the dry. The car won't drive for you and it won't magically make your coupe into an SUV.

SNOW mode gives you a tool to use, which is skipping first gear and retarding throttle response so you don't dig yourself holes with the rear wheels.

But seriously, what would make SNOW mode do SOMETHING for you?

at least it won't kick up as many rocks :)
