Passenger window up and down

Had my RC 350 F sport almost a week and noticed this at the dealer, but the salesman passed it off as "necessary to let heat out" even tho were in the middle of winter, but does anyone's passenger window go down 1/4" when you open the door and go back up when you close the door? It's an annoying thing and I haven't been able to find any info on it, so hoping someone here can explain why it's designed to do this and how to cut off this feature.
And today, for the first time, mysteriously, the DRIVERS side window went down when the door was opened from the outside and went back up when the door was closed.
Anybody had this happen to them?
What is the fix?

I believe that because there is not a frame to the window it needs to drop to relieve the pressure shutting the door creates as the glass cannot take the pressure without a frame.

That's exactly it, looked into this previously with other cars.

I just hope over the years it wont become a problem.

Me, too, Soarer. I can see it wearing out over time, especially since water gets inside the door when you wash it and when you roll the windows down and back up, they are still wet days later.
You'd think Lexus engineers could solve that problem.
Makes sense. Thanks for the info.
