Who bought a Luxury spec over a sport spec and why?

well I got the RC-F Premium Package which I guess is the Lux package, I didn't see the point in another $8,000 for the performance package, I will never track the car and the speed limit here is 65mph..




for me it was more about having something that isn't seen at every red light, I prefer to be different and unique.

If your first priority is performance, I feel like you would go with a different brand. For me it is a bit more about the overall experience of the RC. I also feel like you just get more use out of the luxury package as opposed to the performance package. I am not going to be going to the track really.

The Base RC 350 AWD is actually enough for me. It has everything I would need for daily use and I don't go on track.

I have friends with MB's, BMW's and even Audi's and being familiar with Lexus, I find the Lexus to be enough for me, don't need anything more than what they typically have to offer.

if you drive in europe .....and drive 911,s ,ferraris, audis and bmw's then ypu know that those cars , are incredible hi speed machines ....................and feel great at the performance envelope that they are designed for of 90 to 140 mph .....and some like the Ferrari , event higher

once you drive them in the usa ,you realize the mistake of buying them.

in the usa , the rc base or f sport is more than enough

the vw gti is sometimes more fun that all the above including the lexus

of course if you are in your twenties or thirties , or are in your 70's but with the mind of a teen ager , then is all academic and you love them all. it all depends on how deep is your wallet .and if deep enough then no rationalization is needed ..............

Yeah, I probably should of explained my question better. I meant with an RC350 would you go a Luxury spec or a sports spec...and seriously would anyone consider a non LSD RC350 as a track car anyway?

Isn't the best track car that Lexus is offering the LFA? If you are looking for a Lexus track car, I would assume that is where you would turn.

Luxury spec because heated and ventilated seats with heated steering wheel.

Problem with that is the LFA was produced in limited numbers and will cost you at minimum $300,000. Clearly that's out of the picture here.

I guess you have a point there. I didn't realize it was quite that expensive. I was thinking more in the $130,000 range. That is still really expensive, but still have the price of what it actually is.

The Sport doesn't have to go on track. Just your preference on how much power you want and how it handles.

I bought the F Sport. The cost difference wasn't much and the package had pretty much everything that the luxury package did.

The question for our colleagues in the US then is "why did you buy a RC350 over the RC350 F Sport?" Hope this helps...

Only luxury, because this status is not given just like that, especially for expensive models, besides security is an integral component.
