The new Lexus RC coupe is coming to the Tokyo Motor SHow, and it is the first two-door model to come from Lexus since the demise of the SC.

The RC is clearly influenced by the LF-CC and LF-LC concepts, and features the brands signature spindle grille.

Lexus has announced two versions of the coupe: the conventional RC350 with a 3.5-litre gasoline engine and the RC300h with a 2.5-litre hybrid setup.

Now we just have to wait for the big reveal that is coming up really soon.

I also believe there was a rumored RC250 for nations in the eastern part of the world.

The next generation Infiniti Q60 was also rumored to come with a hybrid powertrain like the Infiniti Q50. Likely that will be one of the RCh competitors.

RC300h.. what engine would that come with...

Likely the one from the ES300H?
Yeah likely that will be it. I believe the engine in the ES hybrid is one of the hybrid engines they plan to use in a wide range of vehicles including the RC.
But we could see some slight changes made, the RC might get a better version of that same engine

I thought the RC300h was going to get the IS300h powertrain? The RC300h should output a combined figure of 217hp between its four-cylinder engine and electric....

I know the 4 series is expected to get a hybrid model so that will be an interesting comparison when the time comes...

Tokyo and LA are at the same time this year so that means that the RC350's big reveal will happen in about a week right? Very exciting... There should be plenty to talk about once we get all the info.
Correct, that is when we're all expecting it to happen. Specifically it's all going down on the 20th of this month, the countdown is on!
