Lexus is in the early stages of developing a large V8-powered coupe that will get the SC moniker.

The SC coupe could arrive as early as 2017, and it will have a fluid design that will be noticeably inspired by the LF-LC concept, which debuted at the 2012 edition of the Detroit Motor Show. The SC should measure 185 inches long, 75 inches wide and 53 inches tall.

The large wheelbase will allow the SC coupe to accommodate 4 seats, and Lexus is making sure that those back seats will be comfortable for full-size adults and not just kids.

The SC coupe should get a 500-horsepower gasoline-electric drivetrain with a V6 engine and a compact-yet-potent electric motor. The motor will get power from a brand new battery pack that will be lighter and more powerful than the one found in Lexus' current hybrids.

There will also be more expensive variants of the SC that will use an evolution of the 5.0-liter V8 engine that is found under the BMW M4-fighting RC-F.

The Sc coupe will also use the world's first 10-speed automatic transmission.

Just rumors now mostly, so look for concrete information in the future.

I used to own one of the original SC coupes and always disliked it's successor the SC430 and am really glad to see this happening since it means they're finally taking the SC back to what it used to be and making it a whole lot better
