Pied Piper sent out mystery shoppers to gather data on dealerships between July 2013 and June 2014. The shoppers scored sales people on a variety of metrics at different points through the car buying process.
Lexus came in at third this year on the list behind Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti. Jaguar, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz have ranked among the top ten brands for the past 10 years of this study.
Have you been to a Lexus dealership recently? How did you find the experience there?
because porsche, ferrari and the like don't need a fantastic experience to sell a car. If you walk into Porsche, Ferrari, lamborghini etc its because you know you're going to buy one.
With Lexus, BMW, Merc et all its more of a contest, who makes me feel needed/wanted?
Many dealers that sell the Porsche also sell many other lines as well, making their dealerships something of a hybrid. The demographics of the customers of those other lines would affect the final score in a survey like this.
Usually Porsche dealerships are pretty small and share with other brands. Lexus is a bigger company with more models. I think it makes sense that they put more into their dealerships.
