There was a cars and coffee style event in Japan and none other then Akio Toyoda showed up with several of his cheif engineers armed with LFA's, RC's and RC-F's. It wasn't jsut a marketing stunt either, Akio was more interested in the other cars...

This was supported by Lexus, and they displayed their latest sports vehicles, such as the LFA, the RC, the RC F, and others. Each of its developers also attended and showed their vehicle’s mechanisms, as well as scenes during development. You could speak directly with the development chief in front of the actual vehicle rather than in a talk show. Attendees and chief developers were enjoying the friendly car lecture.
In addition, Toyota President Akio Toyoda also made a surprise appearance. President Akio brought a camera, personally took pictures of the vehicles, and walked around.
Now that is the CEO of a car company.

Now that is awesome, never ever heard of this happening with a car meet.
I bet if it wasn't for the camera following him around, probably less than half the folks at the meet would realize who he is.

Looks like there were plenty of awesome cars to gander at there. I like seeing CEOs or other public figures go out and do normal things with people. That would be an awesome surprise for people who obviously are already pretty into cars. Really makes it feel like a community.

That matt black LFA in the last photo looks so much like a MKIV Supra. It's uncanny.
I'm not seeing that at all.

Even at a quick glance I made no mistake with identifying what it was.

I guess its matt black paint makes up more of that :D

I owned a black '93 Aerotop TT and I swear it looked just like that from the same angle. I'm not saying you would confuse the two, but the similarity is definitely there when you can't see the rear of the car.

I could not imagine that happening, no.

I could have seen Bob Lutz doing it though. He really seemed to like the community.
