today i drove the 911 carrera s
after a while ,a long while ,the noise made me dizzy.

and in sport plus mode ....forget it .....maybe am getting too old . if i were under 45 ,this is the car to own ,noise or not .

actually my 1955 porsche spyder 550 is quieter .........and it is simple an engine, flat 4, a transmission and no power anything .

but no question, this, the 911 is the best and finest car on the road today.

there is nothing like it .

but no spare tire and very noisy on a long trip even at the lower eco setting . forget the sport + setting for engine and tranny...and forget the open baffle exhaust ..........

for my jaunts between florida, connecticut and vermont the rc beats the 911....but once here in the northeast i rather have the 911.

Interesting, no doubt the RC was designed as a GT car first, sports car second (some may find that unfair but the M4 vs F compares paint the picture for me).

Curious though, why 911 in the NE? If it was a 4S I would understand :D;)

911 hands down.

Really can't beat the refinement and all that comes with a 911. But although the RC has some downsides I think we all can agree that it's great to see a Japanese car maker get involved in the segment it's in.

Next up will be Infiniti :D

911 s vs 4 ----i was a passenger on a 911 s4 in belgium, under heavy rain .we hit 168mph on the road and it was very scary ,as but the grip was incredible.
have no idea what it would have been like in a plain 911.

in the usa on a very narrow road i used the launch control on the 911 s and all i can say it was the second most scary thing ever................it would not have been so on a turnpike or track<

and the first most scary thing was driving the 550 spyder on a long stretch of road with heavy winds and when i hit 125 mph the car rotated and i felt like i was on a small cessna........i took my foot off the gas pedal and the front end came down but very slowly.

now, the rc and all modern cars this with all the nanny stuff will not be this much fun
