Lexus has December to push themselves above their self imposed sales target....

Lexus Certain of Surpassing 300,000,Two NAIAS Debuts Possible | Auto Makers content from WardsAuto

Lexus says selling more than 300,000 vehicles in the U.S. in 2014 is almost a certainty, with a plan to hit 305,000 by the close of December.

Through October, Lexus U.S. deliveries stood at 244,038 units, a 14.3% increase from like-2013, WardsAuto data shows. The brand typically sells 20,000-23,000 units per month, so it will have to rack up a strong November and December to make up the difference.

That sure seems possible to me, but of course they would publish what's possible and not what their goals might actually be.

With the NX, RC and IS, they sure do have the foundation well set.
I think they're looking for 1000 out of RC in December and 3000 out of NX in addition to what they typically do per month...

I also seen a post here or somewhere else about new or developed incentives for end of the year sales which should even boost that number up. But with the 4 series out and getting a lot of hype... it's one more thing to take away from it's sales.

December is usually the best month of vehicle sales so it sure seems like Lexus is going to reach this goal. The NX should end up being more of a volume model, we will just have to see how many they sell each month for the next while. It will be a success, but how big a success? The RX outsells basically everything else in its segment. Could the NX do that too? Probably not with the competition I guess.

I don't follow your logic, the RX competes with all the major lux players as does the NX. Ostensibly the scenario should not differ...
