Same sized rims on RWD?

HI, Currently own a Solara convertible and am looking for another vehicle. I drive 25k miles/year and like the 3.5 v6 in the RC350. However, in researching the tire options, the RWD has staggered tires which can't be rotated. Also, I want a high mileage all season tire instead of a performance tire. Pirelli Cinturato p7 for example. I could do those on the AWD model, but not on the RWD car unless I change the rims on the back to the same ones on the front. Has anyone done this successfully? Looking for a daily driver, and don't care about race car handling. Just don't want to get into dangerous handling characteristics by switching the rims. Don't really want the AWD system as no need for it in the South East.
