That spokeswoman has had some work done. Wowzers. I'll stop myself from continuing to comment on that.

Does seem like a nice dealership though. I think this video did more to give me a glimpse into Scottsdale (where one of my good friends grew up) than it did a glimpse into Lexus.

They sure did. I was there to get my wife's car fixed and saw the black RC350 sitting on the floor. It was never driven, well it had 5 miles on it, and did not have a tint on it, which is what I wanted since I already had someone in mind to do it.

They have a food bar where they will make you a sandwich and bring it to you, besides the excellent coffee, and free pop drinks. It was sure different from a Chevy dealership.

Their parts department is a large boutique with a lot of parts out to see, and they have a huge Lexus clothing selection. I never saw anything like that before. Too bad they are 50 miles away as I would go there for service.

I do have one closer, it's not as fancy, but they make up for it by treating you extra special by giving you a 10% discount on service and parts, and also picking up your car and delivering it back to you if you schedule it.

I'll never go back to a normal car dealership again. The BMW dealer that I used to go to wasn't even as nice as both of these Lexus dealers are.

True, but it is Scottsdale and that is expected.

It's right down the street from the Mayo Hospital, and also by the Porsche, Maserati/Ferrari dealerships so I think they needed to step up their game if they are going to compete for clients.

Now that is a dealership, while it may not be the nicest looking from the outside they do seem to run a tight ship. Once I heard them mention Scottsdale i was thinking "no wonder"

I think the dealership definitely gets more out of the services it provides than the was the building looks. But the building is important too. Curb appeal is important especially when you have competitors that are investing in their exteriors too.

I agree. They have a very nice waiting area that is next to the bistro and the seats are very comfortable.

and even better is the alternative of getting them to shuttle you to/from where you need to be at, good if you can batch going to the dealer with another thing you need to do.

I was reading in a book about Lexus, that as they were putting the whole Lexus philosophy together, that in their focus groups one of the things they realized is that people hate going to the car dealership more than they hate going to the dentist. So it was imperative that not only must the car be good, the entire experience for sales to service must also be a pleasurable as possible. It seems that Lexus has not waivered from their original philosophy.

Didn't know people thought of going to the dealership as something more painful than pulling teeth. Good on Lexus for sticking with their philosophy in both customer service and product quality.

I think people hate the dealership because it is a unique place and buying experience, but one that most people only end up actually going through a few times. So people don;t feel comfortable. The sales people have the home field advantage. You have to establish trust and make the environment comforting instead of intimidating.
